So full disclosure here, I'm a keyboard nerd. If there are problems, I will find them. I got this for portability, and as an upgrade to my kanex multisync foldable keyboard (which I hate), which is pretty similar to this in design. I'm pleasantly surprised with this one, though! Especially for the price, I am impressed at the level of detail and care they put into this product.Ergonomics / fit:Very compact! No wasted space. it's very flat, as there are no feet. The middle foldy bit is a little too floppy and wide to elevate it in any interesting and potentially more ergonomic shapes, but putting the back edge on top of my laptop to incline it a little works fine enough. The key size is standard, but the bottom row is not offset by the standard half-a-key, its only a quarter-key. There is also only 1 B button. So you may mistype those bottom letters until you get used to it.All the keys have a circular/spherical divet for your fingers, except the bottom row which is inverted. The edges are a little sharp, making it easy to hit 2 buttons with 1 finger, but otherwise I think the key shape is excellent.Key feel is a little more snappy than usual. No mush. Much like a surface laptop. No issues with needing to press the keys down hard to get it to register.Functionality / connectivity:Good aspects: It does actually accept power from fast chargers (though it doesn't charge faster, this is anticipated considering the size of the battery) so they're following the USB standards properly. It supports windows bluetooth swift pairing. No issues pairing to niche devices yet. Re-connects to a paired device in less than 2 seconds. It goes to "sleep" after about 1 second of not actively typing, but it wakes up again in like a 5th of a second or something like that, very difficult to measure. So the only impact of this is that your first key press will be a little delayed and shortened. Not noticeable in most cases, I like this as it presumably saves a lot of battery.Bad aspects: It still only uses bluetooth to communicate while plugged in. The charging indicator shares the number 3 light hole. You cannot see the charging indicator when it is closed. It does not report the battery level over bluetooth. It's pretty low latency, not noticeable while typing. However the polling rate is pretty low, not surprising for a bluetooth keyboard. Seems to send an update to the computer about 30 times per second, compared to gaming keyboards which are usually 1000. For this reason, letters can come out in the wrong order, but I haven't encountered this while normally typing, only while specifically testing for it.Keyboard layout and key assignments:I have the US model, they also have a UK model, which I can't comment on. The main difference between this and a laptop keyboard is that they combined the F1-F12 keys inside of the number row. pressing 5 types 5 of course, pressing shift+5 types %, pressing fn+5 does previous music track, and pressing fn+shift+5 does F5. I don't love this implementation, since I cannot send shift+f5 to the computer. This keyboard stops sending the shift signal to the computer when its sending the F5 signal. It doesn't come up that often, but could be confusing for that once-a-year occurrence you try a keyboard shortcut like that.Interestingly, the escape key is different. fn+escape is `, which I expected. but fn+shift+escape does not do anything. to type a ~, you actually have to do shift+escape without the fn. That makes sense if you type ~ a lot, but this annoyingly means you cannot send shift+escape to the computer, which would ordinarily be a big problem because that breaks ctrl+shift+escape for task manager... but when you hold ctrl, then shift+escape works normally all of a sudden, so... I guess that fixes that specific situation, but not all of them. The half-height arrow keys are domed and shaped well to avoid pressing both at the same time.Having a second B key on the right half would've been nice, but everything is in the normal position.FN11 is also printscreen, if you need it. The other weird ones they included are F3 being win+tab, and f12 is win+L.I still don't know what fn+ctrl does... it certainly doesn't send anything to the computer. It's not mentioned in the manual either, even though there's an icon there of a little keyboard.Other:The key printing is normal and cheap. It will probably visibly wear out after 1 or 2 hundred hours of use. The colored escape key is a different color of plastic though, and I think it looks neat. All of the slightly wider-than-normal keys, like escape, are stabilized properly. The stabilizers are not noisy. I think the overall design is very well thought out, and they seemed to really weigh their pros and cons while making decisions. But most of all I do wish the F1-F12 buttons didn't share the same keys with the media controls and such, as that complicates the key combos built into the keyboard.
