First Amazon review. I'm normally pretty easy to please, but couldn't avoid sharing my experience. It started when I first received it and realized I had two left rails instead of a left and a right. I put in for a return on amazon, and they promptly sent out a second unit. The second one came used, partially assembled, scratched up, and was missing the instructions and a few other parts. This appears to probably be someone else's return. It sounds like many people return these because they don't realize how big they are, and then they ship those back out to customers. (I am not the first reviewer who has received a used one.)I was able to take one of the rails from the second unit and combine it with the first to have a complete tray. All that aside, here are the pros and cons of the actual unit:The good:-great size. I wanted a large tray to fit my microsoft elite keyboard.-rails/sliders are smooth. The not so good:-wobbly. like, really wobbly. the design is cheap, brackets are flimsy and bend easily. it makes installation a little easier, by giving you some wiggle room, but at a huge cost once it's finished. you can literally push it to one side, let go, and watch it wiggle for a second or two.The bad:-this was a deal breaker for me, and I'm going to have to come up with some alternative solution, but this will not work in a pressboard/particle board desk, which is what I'm assuming many people have. I have an ikea desk, and after installing, it lasted about 30 minutes before just the weight of my arms ripped one of the screws right out. did some research, and it sounds like I can make it work by getting crafty with some plywood/glue/epoxy, but darn, wish I had known.-overpriced. $75?! i'm not a cheap person, and prices don't really bother me, but I would expect this type of quality and bad luck/service for something in the $20 range, not $75. there's nothing about this tray that should make it more than $20-$25 in my opinion. In summary, I'm appalled by the quality control of whoever sent this thing out. I've never experienced anything like it from Amazon. Two trays, both with issues. If it wasn't priced so high, I wouldn't be too bothered, as Amazon was quick to send out the replacement, etc. Won't work in pressboard/particle board desks, and build quality/brackets just have me scratching my head as to what justifies the price.
